The role requires a high level of competence, enthusiasm, and self-motivation. You will be responsible for managing general accounting functions, overseeing the completion of ledger accounts, and providing financial information by researching and analyzing accounts.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be expected to:
1. Prepare financial statements and business activity reports.
2. Conduct detailed account, financial statement, and record reviews to ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and laws.
3. Oversee and manage the general ledger.
4. Handle accounts payable and receivable.
5. Manage fixed asset accounting and sales and use taxes.
6. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
7. Conduct regular ledger reconciliation.
8. Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management.
9. Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes.
10. Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
11. Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.
12. Develop and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting process.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting
3. Strong knowledge of financial reporting.
4. Excellent understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel.
8. Experience with accounting software and databases.
9. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
10. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
