We are seeking a Senior Accountant for our dynamic team within the Medical industry. This role is critical to our financial department and requires a seasoned professional with a knack for numbers and a passion for financial analysis. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a range of financial procedures, including but not limited to, general ledger duties, financial reporting, budgeting, and GL journal entries. Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

1. Overseeing daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations.
2. Participating in regular tax audits and payroll.
3. Preparing budgeting reports and forecasting revenue.
4. Managing month-end and year-end closing.
5. Monitoring the daily performance of the accounting department.
6. Organizing financial data into useable information and maintain updated records.
7. Tracking the progress of financial and accounting objectives.
8. Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
9. Preparing financial statements and analysis for monthly and annual reports.
10. Utilizing Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree. A Master's degree is a plus.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
3. Proven experience as a financial controller, accounting supervisor, or senior accountant.
4. In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Familiarity with financial accounting statements and experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
6. Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like FreshBooks and QuickBooks.
7. Advanced MS Excel skills including vlookups and pivot tables.
8. Accuracy and attention to detail.
9. Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
11. Ability to direct and supervise.
