We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our vibrant finance team. - Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
- Prepare and analyze accurate monthly financial and management reports, including income statement, balance sheet, budget and variance, projections and forecast, and cash flow.
- Maintain and reconcile an array of financial statements and reports for the creation of financial statements.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
- Analyze financial reports and seek to improve financial performance and budgeting.
- Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities.
- Manage the preparation of payroll for personnel.
- Ensure compliance with all internal processes.
- Coordinate with tax accountants to ensure accurate and timely tax return preparation.
- Assist with internal and external auditing procedures.
- Resolve complex accounting issues or assists other Authority personnel in resolving financial issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior accounting role.
- Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in major accounting software programs, such as Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks, and Peachtree.
- Excellent skills in managing and analyzing financial data to make sound business decisions.
- Strong experience in financial reporting, including previous responsibility for balance sheet reconciliations and income statement analysis.
- Proficiency in MS Office, with exceptional knowledge of Excel.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and data mining tools such as SQL, Access, etc.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a superior ability to collaborate with a diverse team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- CPA certification is a plus.
