We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced, and organized Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. This exciting role offers the opportunity to take on a pivotal role within our Accounting and Finance department, where you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various aspects of our financial operations. This includes preparing financial statements, conducting month-end close processes, managing our fixed asset system, and performing reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
2. Conducting month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
3. Managing and maintaining the company's fixed asset system.
4. Performing regular, detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.
5. Identifying and implementing improvements to the financial reporting and analysis process.
6. Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
7. Ensuring compliance with all internal controls and financial policies and procedures.
8. Collaborating with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
9. Providing training and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
10. Participating in special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as required.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2-3 years in a senior role.
3. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
4. Proficiency in using financial software and MS Office (especially Excel).
5. Experience with fixed asset systems and month-end close processes.
6. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in clear terms.
9. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
11. A commitment to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with industry trends and regulations.
