Job Details
Key Responsibilities
Prepare financial statements in alignment with GAAP and applicable nonprofit accounting standards.
Support grant reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis to inform strategic program decisions.
Co-lead the monthly close process, including accruals, journal entries, account reconciliations, depreciation, and overall ledger management.
Partner with senior finance leadership and department heads on the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process to ensure timely and accurate updates that reflect operational priorities.
Design and implement financial reporting structures in Sage Intacct to improve visibility into cash flow, time tracking, and project performance.
Promote organization-wide adherence to internal accounting policies and fiscally responsible practices, including procurement and travel.
Prepare audit materials and collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit.
Monitor cash flow, oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, and troubleshoot discrepancies.
Contribute to strategic initiatives and daily operations of the Finance team, helping to foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s degree preferred)
5–7 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, with a strong grasp of GAAP (nonprofit experience preferred)
Advanced Excel skills and the ability to develop accurate, data-driven reports
Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Proven ability to manage priorities and deadlines both independently and in a team setting
Sound judgment in handling confidential information
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Experience with ADP, AP automation, and expense processing tools
Strongly preferred: Proficiency in Sage Intacct
