Job Details
As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will be wide-ranging, reflecting your critical role in our organization. Key duties will include:
1. Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
2. Coordinating and executing the month-end close process.
3. Conducting comprehensive account reconciliations.
4. Assisting with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
5. Maintaining and improving internal control systems.
6. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
7. Assisting with annual audits, coordinating with external auditors.
8. Providing financial analysis and recommendations to management.
9. Leading special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this pivotal role, you will need:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a similar role.
3. Proficiency in account reconciliations, with a strong understanding of GAAP.
4. Exceptional analytical skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
5. The ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software.
8. The ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion at all times.
9. A proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate potential issues and implement effective solutions.
