Are you an experienced Senior Accountant with a knack for numbers and a passion for the manufacturing industry? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic team as a Senior Accountant. As part of our team, you will play a pivotal role in managing our financial health and making sure we stay on track with our financial goals. You will be working in a fast-paced environment where each day brings unique challenges and opportunities.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing the preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, and reports required by regulatory agencies.
2. Analyzing financial details of past and present operations to identify development opportunities and areas where improvement is needed.
3. Coordinating with other team members to review financial information and trends.
4. Applying costing methods to provide accurate information on the company's financial status.
5. Assisting with end-of-year audits and liaising with auditors as required.
6. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards in the construction industry.
7. Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
8. Preparing and reviewing budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents.
9. Conducting regular ledger maintenance and reconciliation activities.
10. Advising management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Accountant position should have the following qualifications:
1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within the construction industry.
3. Strong understanding and knowledge of construction accounting and cost accounting principles.
4. Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly strong skills in Excel.
5. Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
7. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make well-judged decisions.
9. Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis.
10. Well-organized with excellent time management skills.
