Job Details:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-motivated Senior Accountant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, thriving engineering company. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in managing the financial health of our organization. They will be responsible for preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned. This role requires a combination of strong analytical skills and a detailed understanding of accounting principles and company practices.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
2. Assist with tax audits and tax returns
3. Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
4. Plan, assign and review staff’s work
5. Support month-end and year-end close process
6. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
7. Liaise with our Financial manager and Accounting manager to improve financial procedures
8. Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
9. Drive process improvements for more efficient and streamlined accounting processes
10. Assist in the preparation of budgets or forecasts
11. Participate in preparation for the annual audit
12. Collaborate with team members to support overall department goals and objectives

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. A Master's degree or CPA would be considered an advantage.
2. Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the engineering industry.
3. Proven experience with Financial Analysis, Financial Reporting, Accounting, Internal Controls, Budgeting, and Financial Accounting.
4. In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Excellent computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases.
6. Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
7. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
8. High attention to detail and accuracy.
9. Ability to direct and supervise.
10. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and management skills.
11. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
