Position Overview
The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in managing the company's accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). This role will oversee daily accounting operations, support month-end and year-end close processes, assist with audits, and provide financial reporting and analysis to support decision-making.

We are on the hunt for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This is a permanent position, offering a fantastic opportunity to take on a senior role within our accounting department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a minimum of 5 years of experience, particularly in reconciliation.

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing financial reports, executing monthly payments and invoices, and managing our financial databases. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and transparency of our organization. If you have a strong understanding of accounting principles, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for numbers, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.

2. Prepare financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

3. Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.

4. Analyze financial reports and identify discrepancies and variances.

5. Develop and implement effective accounting strategies and policies.

6. Collaborate with external auditors and manage the auditing process.

7. Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities.

8. Ensure compliance with all internal processes and legal standards.

9. Mentor and guide junior staff members, fostering a supportive and inclusive team environment.

Qualifications:

1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are preferred.

2. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on account reconciliation.

3. Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, especially in MS Excel.

4. In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

5. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.

6. Excellent analytical skills with a thorough attention to detail.

7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

8. Ability to work independently, with little supervision, and as part of a team.

9. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

10. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
