Job Details
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and controls in compliance with GAAP and relevant regulations.
Assist in the preparation and monitoring of organizational and program budgets.
Coordinate and participate in bank and independent annual audits.
Regularly review and improve accounting and financial control processes.
Analyze and monitor inventory costs.
Coordinate monthly and year-end financial closing processes.
Conduct monthly financial performance analyses.
Prepare and manage supporting schedules for general ledger accounts; reconcile all balance sheet accounts monthly.
Perform financial analyses to support risk assessment and decision-making.
Manage aspects of accounts receivable, cash receipts, and banking activities, ensuring proper documentation.
Process and post journal entries for routine transactions to maintain General Ledger accuracy.
Maintain the fixed assets register.
Cross-train in accounts payable, cash disbursements, cash receipts processes, and payroll.
Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA or CPA eligibility is preferred.
Three to five years of related accounting experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
Strong understanding of accounting practices and principles.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
Proactive problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability.
Effective time management skills, self-motivation, and attention to detail and deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Analytical and detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
Self-motivated, high initiative, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment with firm deadlines.
Experience with budget preparation and control.
Experience with inventory cost management.
