Senior Staff Accountant
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Staff Accountant to join a collaborative and fast-paced accounting team. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, this role is responsible for key aspects of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong technical skills who thrives in a professional environment and enjoys partnering across teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Perform general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures.
Review reports and accounting processes to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal controls.
Develop and deliver periodic financial reports for senior leadership.
Assist with financial projections, variance analysis, and research of accounting issues.
Participate in internal control and process improvement projects, including documenting procedures and recommending efficiencies.
Provide support and mentorship to other team members, fostering knowledge-sharing and collaboration.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (minimum GPA 3.25 required).
5–7 years of experience in corporate accounting, financial analysis, or a similar professional role.
Industry experience in banking or financial services is preferred.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general PC applications.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Proven ability to take initiative and drive tasks to completion.
