Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable financial reporting standards and business policies.
  • Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including the preparation of journal entries and reconciliations for various accounts.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary information and answering auditors' questions.
  • Collaborate with other finance team members to support overall department goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Advise staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
  • Respond to inquiries from the Director of Finance, and other finance and firm-wide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests, etc.
  • Work with the Controller to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
  • Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.
  • Work with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting or related field.
  • Proficient in preparing financial statements and understanding of GAAP.
  • Demonstrated ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • High proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g., SAP).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to direct and supervise.
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
