We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Construction industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to apply their skills and knowledge in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Financial Consolidations, WIP Accounting, Percentage of Completion, Excel, Financial Close, and Payroll. This position requires a minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for:

1. Preparing and reviewing financial statements and reports, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.
2. Performing financial consolidations and inter-company transactions.
3. Managing Work in Progress (WIP) accounting and performing percentage of completion calculations.
4. Conducting monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
5. Assisting in the financial close process and providing detailed financial analysis and commentary on variances and trends.
6. Handling payroll functions, ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently and accurately.
7. Coordinating with the internal audit team to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
8. Assisting in the development of budgets and financial forecasts, analyzing variances to assist in decision making.
9. Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Senior Accountant position should have the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in the construction industry.
3. In-depth knowledge of Financial Consolidations, WIP Accounting, Percentage of Completion, Excel, Financial Close, and Payroll.
4. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
6. Excellent analytical skills, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
7. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial personnel.
9. Knowledge of accounting software and databases, with the ability to quickly learn new systems as needed.
