Job Details

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in the finance industry. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing various accounting functions, including tax preparation, financial reporting, and bookkeeping. You will be an integral part of our finance team, working closely with our CFO and other senior executives to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial data.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and file tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks or other accounting software
Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, and provide analysis and insights to senior management
Conduct regular audits of financial data to identify and correct errors or discrepancies
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and industry best practices
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, ensuring their professional development and growth

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
5+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on tax preparation, financial reporting, and bookkeeping
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP and tax laws and regulations
Proficiency in QuickBooks or other accounting software
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex financial issues
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior executives, clients, and team members
CPA or CMA certification preferred, but not required
