Job Details

Key Responsibilities
Client Advisory & Relationship Management
Develop and maintain relationships with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and their professional advisors
Lead client meetings and presentations on complex planning opportunities
Coordinate with tax, investment, and insurance professionals to deliver integrated solutions

Technical Excellence
Draft sophisticated estate planning documents including wills, trusts, and business agreements
Analyze complex tax regulations and their impact on client planning
Structure and implement advanced wealth transfer techniques
Manage estate and trust administration matters

Business Development
Support practice growth through thought leadership and client relationship development
Participate in industry conferences and professional organizations
Contribute to firm publications and marketing initiatives


Required Qualifications
Juris Doctor from a top-tier law school with superior academic performance
Active Illinois bar membership (or ability to obtain admission by motion)
LL.M. in Taxation strongly preferred

Experience & Expertise
6-8 years of sophisticated estate planning experience at a premier law firm or trust company
Demonstrated expertise in federal gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer tax regimes
Proven track record working with ultra-high-net-worth clientele ($50M+ net worth)
Experience with family office structures and governance

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
