Our prestigious law firm is seeking a seasoned Insurance Coverage Attorney to join our dynamic team. This role is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about the legal industry and has a solid background in insurance defense. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling complex insurance coverage matters, including large loss insurance defense, mass tort litigation, catastrophe, good faith coverage, fair dealing, and contractual liability. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Commercial General Liability and Professional Liability.

1. Analyze and interpret insurance policies to determine coverage and identify potential issues.
2. Handle a high volume of complex insurance coverage matters related to large loss insurance defense, mass tort litigation, and catastrophe.
3. Provide legal advice on good faith coverage, fair dealing, and contractual liability.
4. Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in complex insurance coverage cases.
5. Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, opinions, and contracts.
6. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in disputes where insurance coverage is involved.
7. Conduct research and analysis of legal problems, interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for businesses and individuals.
8. Stay updated with the latest legal trends, regulations, and rulings affecting insurance coverage and liability.
9. Collaborate with a team of attorneys and paralegals, sharing knowledge, and contributing to the overall success of the team.

Job Details

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Must be a member in good standing of the state bar.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Insurance Coverage Attorney, specifically handling large loss insurance defense, mass tort litigation, and catastrophe.
4. Proven experience with good faith coverage, fair dealing, and contractual liability.
5. Solid knowledge of Commercial General Liability and Professional Liability.
6. Excellent negotiation, research, and communication skills.
7. Ability to manage a high volume of complex cases.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. High degree of professional ethics, integrity, and gravitas.
