Senior Buyer

Located in the Greenville area, we are a global supplier to a wide variety of industries including Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, Energy, Healthcare, and Consumer Products. Currently we are looking for an experienced Senior Buyer to join our growing team. Responsibilities:

• Manage purchase order process including creating PO's and updating vendors and suppliers accordingly
• Purchasing of raw materials to ensure forecasting needs and demands are met
• Create RFIs, RFQs, and identify cost drivers
• Handle all vendor and supplier negotiations including price, terms, and delivery
• Responsible for managing both internal and external relationships ensuring accuracy of deliveries
• Identify opportunities for costs savings and improvements for production lead times
• Review and resolve any discrepancies with invoices, payments, etc.
• Partner with other Buyers, Planners, and SCM to establish and maintain vendor relationships
• Manage material flow and monitor production schedule ensuring efficiency and timelines are met

Requirements:

• AAS Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (preferred)
• 5+ years of Purchasing and Sourcing experience
• Experience with electrical, machined part, or fastener commodities preferred
• Must have experience with overseas suppliers and logistics
• Excellent communication skills written and verbal
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems
• Proficient in full MS Office suite including Excel
