Job Details

Responsibilities:
Primary Job Functions (75%) – Supply Departmental Functions
1.Lead sourcing and procurement activities for assigned commodity categories.
2.Drive cost reduction strategies and monitor purchasing performance to meet annual targets.
3.Select, evaluate, and develop suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery, development, and management performance.
4.Monitor supplier corrective actions and drive resolution of quality and delivery issues.
5.Develop cost estimates for new product designs and support pricing reviews.
6.Track standard cost variances and support PPV analysis and resolution.
7.Assist in resolving supplier-related technical issues involving form, fit, and function.
8.Support engineering changes, product launches, and cost-down initiatives, coordinating testing with R&D when necessary.
Secondary Job Functions (25%) – Hierarchical / Leadership Responsibilities
1.Lead, supervise, and develop a team of Buyers and Procurement Associates, providing ongoing performance feedback and coaching.
2.Work closely with the Senior Supply Chain Manager to align sourcing activities with departmental goals and timelines.
3.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance procurement efficiency and cost savings.
4.Participate in cross-functional meetings related to supplier management, product development, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
Qualifications:
1.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field is required.
2.Seven to ten years’ purchasing experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment is required.
3.Experience with MAPICS, AS400 systems, and Microsoft Office is required.
3.Strong multitasking, communication, and supplier negotiation skills are required.
