We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Civil Engineer to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. This position provides an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of complex and high-profile projects, from land development to water and sewer infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and implementation of civil engineering projects, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standard and in accordance with local zoning laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for:
1. Developing detailed designs for civil engineering projects, including stormwater management systems, drainage, grading, and utilities.
2. Using advanced software tools such as Civil 3D and Autoturn to create accurate and efficient designs.
3. Ensuring all designs comply with local zoning laws and regulations, and obtaining necessary permits.
4. Overseeing the development of land, including the design and implementation of erosion and sediment controls.
5. Preparing and submitting SWPPP and SEQRA reports.
6. Managing the design and implementation of water and sewer infrastructure projects.
7. Coordinating with other team members and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
8. Conducting site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
9. Providing technical support and guidance to junior team members.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on civil design, stormwater management, drainage, grading, and land development.
3. Proficiency in Civil 3D, Autoturn, and other relevant software tools.
4. A strong understanding of local zoning laws and regulations, and experience in obtaining permits.
5. Experience in preparing and submitting SWPPP and SEQRA reports.
6. A proven track record in managing water and sewer infrastructure projects.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
8. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
9. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites as needed.
