Job Details
The Senior Account Manager serves as a primary business contact for clients and is responsible for applying industry knowledge and regulatory insight to deliver innovative, efficient service. This role is key to building and maintaining strong internal and external relationships, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service that meets or exceeds industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a designated book of business, including marketing, claims, and administrative functions.
Investigate and resolve policy-related issues by identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
Recommend improvements to processes, products, and policies.
Provide strategic guidance to clients based on industry trends and independent analysis.
Develop financial models and reports, offering interpretation, implications, and actionable recommendations.
Deliver consultative advice and strategic planning support, including coverage analysis and recommendations.
Lead client strategy meetings to align expectations for upcoming terms.
Present coverage plans and renewal terms to clients.
Assess client exposure data and analyze carrier quotes to determine optimal solutions.
Interpret policy terms to ensure adequate coverage for identified risks.
Negotiate with carriers for new and renewal quotes.
Collaborate with senior staff to identify new markets and request quotes.
Evaluate new business opportunities and provide recommendations to leadership.
Build and maintain relationships with clients, carriers, and vendors.
Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory developments.
Mentor and train junior team members.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of three years of client service experience, preferably in brokerage or commercial insurance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
In-depth understanding of industry trends and regulations.
Willingness to attend industry training and pursue advanced insurance education.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
Commitment to confidentiality and compliance with company policies.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Flexibility to work outside regular business hours and travel as needed.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
