Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Manage all aspects of commercial litigation including research, drafting pleadings, discovery, depositions, negotiations, settlement, and trial preparation.
- Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of commercial legal issues.
- Develop and implement litigation strategies that align with business objectives.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting the company, advising on potential impacts and compliance strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to manage risks and mitigate potential legal liabilities.
- Provide training and guidance to junior attorneys and legal staff.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial litigation, with a proven track record of success.
- Active membership in good standing with NY State Bar.
- Exceptional legal writing and oral advocacy skills.
- Proficient in legal research and litigation strategy.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve disputes favorably.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, working effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- High level of professional ethics and integrity.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in using legal software and technology tools.
