Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Commercial Litigation Attorney to join our legal team. This is a permanent role that offers an exciting opportunity to engage in complex commercial litigation, representing clients across a range of industries. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of litigation, from inception through trial or other resolutions. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of business and commercial law, excellent legal writing skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality legal services to our clients.

Responsibilities:

1. Handle all aspects of commercial litigation including, but not limited to, drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses, and preparing for and conducting trials.

2. Represent clients in a variety of commercial disputes in both state and federal courts, as well as in mediation and arbitration proceedings.

3. Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to clients on potential litigation risks and strategies.

4. Conduct extensive and detailed legal research to support client cases and to stay abreast of changes in law.

5. Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the efficient and effective management of litigation cases.

6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business objectives, and providing tailored legal advice.

7. Ensure compliance with all court rules and procedures, as well as ethical rules governing the practice of law.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

2. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.

3. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in commercial litigation, with a proven track record of success.

4. Extensive experience in drafting and arguing motions, conducting discovery, and managing complex commercial litigation cases.

5. Demonstrated experience in business litigation and mediation.

6. Exceptional legal writing skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise, and persuasive legal documents.

7. Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to resolve disputes favorably for our clients.

8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically about legal issues.

9. Ability to work independently, manage multiple cases simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.

10. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues.

11. Experience representing plaintiffs is a plus.
