Our Client is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Superintendent to join their ground up commercial construction division. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and is passionate about construction and project management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial building, high-rise construction, and multi-family projects, with a deep understanding of all stages of construction from ground up. Proficiency in self-perform work and aptitude in using construction software like Spectrum, Plangrid, and/or Bluebeam is a plus.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Senior Construction Superintendent, your core responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing all stages of project life cycle and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the quality standards set by the company.
2. Coordinating and supervising all construction activities, including direct work and subcontractor work.
3. Developing and maintaining construction schedules, identifying and solving problems.
4. Ordering materials and scheduling inspections as necessary throughout the process.
5. Maintaining strict build-out construction budgetary compliance.
6. Ensuring all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules etc.
7. Documenting and reporting all project activities and progress to Senior Management.
8. Conducting regular onsite project team meetings to discuss progress and resolve issues.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Senior Construction Superintendent role should have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Commercial Superintendent or Senior Superintendent in the construction industry.
2. Proven track record of successfully completed projects in commercial ground up, high-rise, and multi-family construction.
3. Strong knowledge and experience in self-perform work.
4. Proficiency in construction software such as Spectrum, Plangrid, and/or Bluebeam.
5. Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience with project management.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedule.
9. Demonstrated understanding of building processes and systems.
10. Commitment to personal and team safety.
