Responsibilities:

As a Senior Corporate Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Overseeing the preparation of journal entries, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
2. Ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) across all financial operations.
3. Performing account reconciliations and assisting with balance sheet account analysis.
4. Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
5. Collaborating with the finance team to streamline and improve financial processes.
6. Assisting with internal and external audit processes, providing necessary information and answering queries.
7. Participating in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insightful financial data to support decision-making.
8. Identifying and implementing strategies to optimize financial performance and efficiency.
9. Staying updated with industry trends, changes in business practices in the assigned financial area, regulatory requirements, and tax laws.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the role of Senior Corporate Accountant, applicants must meet the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of five years of experience in a corporate accounting or similar role, preferably within the Engineering industry.
3. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles, regulations, and practices.
4. Proficiency in creating and maintaining journal entries and performing account reconciliations.
5. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide financial forecasts.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
7. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
9. Experience with financial reporting and accounting software.
