Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Analyze and report variances generated from inventory purchases and usage.
- Reconciles inventory subledger to the general ledger monthly.
- Analyze inventory purchases and usage variances/ determine root cause.
- Inventory reconciliations.
- Review company-owned inventory COGS and recommend adjustments.
- Period cost and E&O reserve analysis.
- Physical inventory counts/ reconciliation.
- Performs quarterly physical inventory counts and coordinates counts observation by external audit firm.
- Supports preparation and submission of quarterly and annual audit and tax packs.
- Prepares quarterly variance explanations for income statement and balance sheet.
- Leads activities in the preparation of quarterly and annual surveys.
- Reviews and analyzes unbilled receivables.
- Assists, as required, in special projects to improve overall efficiency, eliminating process waste and improving company profitability.
Qualifications:
- Must be comfortable working 100% onsite
- Understanding of GAAP and corporate guidelines as they apply to accounting transactions.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and reports
- Familiar with Gov’t accounting, FAR and CAS regulations a plus
- Bachelor's in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related field with 10 years of accounting experience with increasing responsibility over time
- Experience with Government Accounting
- Experience using Deltek CostPoint, TM1, and OneStream a plus
