Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of cost accounting, including manufacturing accounting, bill of materials, and general ledger (GL) operations.
- Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain the annual budget, working closely with various department heads to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Provide accurate and timely forecasting, leveraging a deep understanding of business operations, market trends, and industry dynamics.
- Implement and enforce robust cost accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, cost efficiencies, and operational excellence.
- Participate in special projects and ad-hoc analyses as required, providing financial expertise and strategic insights.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in the manufacturing or scientific industry.
- Proven expertise in manufacturing accounting, bill of materials, and general ledger (GL) operations.
- Strong proficiency in monthly reporting, annual budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable business insights.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop junior staff.
