Job Details

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure accurate inventory valuation and reporting for all locations.
  • Work closely with supply chain to reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Calculate and maintain accurate product costs, considering both direct and indirect costs.
  • Analyze, determine, and report gross margin fluctuations.
  • Assist with monthly financial close process which includes preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations related to inventory and COGS.
  • Reconcile gross profits related to distribution sales.
  • Prepare yearly Cost of Goods Sold budget and margins.
  • Meet with Production Operation department heads monthly to review department’s P&L Actual vs. Budget.
Assist with annual physical inventory count and inventory observation audit.
  • Assist in managing, including coordinating with auditors and providing necessary documentation.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision making.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives to improve financial processes and controls.

EXEPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cost accounting within manufacturing is required.
  • Public company and SOX experience.
  • Standard cost accounting experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS:

  • Travel from Valencia office to Ventura manufacturing plant 1-2x per week.
