We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Consulting Senior Cost/Inventory Accountant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, growing organization within the Accounting + Finance industry. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of inventory analysis, inventory accounting, cost reconciliation, month-end close, and journal entries. With a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, the successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining our financial health and driving our financial strategy.

Responsibilities:

As a Consulting Senior Cost/Inventory Accountant, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:

1. Performing detailed inventory analysis and maintaining inventory accounting records.
2. Assisting with cost reconciliation and ensuring that all costs are accurately captured and accounted for.
3. Participating in the month-end close process, including the preparation and posting of journal entries.
4. Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in inventory and cost accounting.
5. Collaborating with other finance and operations teams to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs.
6. Preparing ad-hoc reports and analyses as required by management.
7. Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Consulting Senior Cost/Inventory Accountant position will have the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in cost/inventory accounting or a related field.
2. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or CMA designation is preferred.
3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze large volumes of data and derive meaningful insights.
4. Proficiency in inventory accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
5. Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all work.
6. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
7. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
