The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and directing all facets of human resources, including talent acquisition, talent management, employee relations, benefits and compensation management, safety training, employee development, and performance management. The Senior Director will play a crucial role in aligning HR infrastructure with business goals, ensuring HR compliance, and facilitating workforce planning. The Senior Director will play a crucial role in aligning HR infrastructure with business goals, ensuring HR compliance, and facilitating workforce planning. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Oversee the talent acquisition process, including sourcing, testing, interviewing, hiring and onboarding.
- Implement effective talent management strategies, including succession planning, talent development, and retention.
- Provide leadership in establishing a productive, high performing, and safety-focused work environment.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations as needed.
- Oversee the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review and modify policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Develop and execute comprehensive workforce plans to meet the organization's current and future needs.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of human resource management experience is required, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- A proven track record in managing a wide range of HR activities including talent acquisition, talent management, employee relations, benefits, compensation, safety training, employee development, and performance management.
- Extensive knowledge of HR compliance requirements, including DOL, DHS, and H-2A visa regulations.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
