Well-funded startup is growing their team and looking for a Remote Distributed Systems Engineer!

Well-funded, infra startup is poised to reshape the future of crypto. Backed by industry giants they have over 60M raised and their team is a little under 30 people in size. They are looking for a Senior to Staff Software Engineer who thrives on building mission-critical systems and expertise with Rust. I've placed a few folks with them over the past 2 years and all have had fantastic feedback on the culture and organization.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Design and build distributed systems, infrastructure components, and protocol-level features to support decentralized applications
- Build their novel trust-minimized (honest minority) settlement layer for Solana VM rollups
- Support additional bytecodes for rollups
- Integrate oracles so they automatically work all of their rollups
- Collaborate product and engineering to translate product requirements into technical specifications and solutions
- Ensure code quality and reliability following best practices throughout the SDLC

Qualifications
Bonus Experience
- Strong expertise in Rust, minimum of 1.5 years
- 4-10+ years of software engineering experience in a Startup or similar SaaS environment
- Skilled in building distributed systems
- Experience with building high performant, high-throughput systems
- Bachelor’s in EECS, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent from a top CS program
- Extensive performance optimization engineering experience.
- Knowledge of peer-to-peer networking and distributed databases
Bonus Experience
- Strong understanding of cryptography and consensus mechanisms in the context of blockchain technology
- Bonus: Crypto startup experience or with optimistic & zero-knowledge tech
