Job Details

Takes responsible charge of projects aligned with personal expertise and experience, serving as Engineer of Record (EOR) for assigned work.
Coordinates with other disciplines to align design requirements, identify equipment needs, inform operating procedures, and share technical data.
Conducts engineering studies and design analyses using industry-standard software.
Participates in client, owner, and architect meetings as needed.
Contributes to the development of design concepts and approaches.
Reviews and provides feedback on design work completed by colleagues to ensure quality and accuracy.
Performs site visits during construction to observe progress, assess installation against design documents, and ensure compliance with codes and owner expectations.
Interfaces with local authorities, utility companies, and municipalities to meet construction and regulatory requirements.
Identifies design conflicts and ensures resolution by the appropriate team members.
Develops and manages the discipline’s man-hour budget and workplans, ensuring alignment with overall project budget and schedule.
Provides ongoing input and updates to project schedules and coordinates tasks accordingly.
Reviews shop drawings and submittals for compliance with design intent.
Assists in the creation and implementation of proactive QA/QC plans for assigned projects.
Supports senior technical staff in preparing technical documents, proposals, and client presentations.
Coordinates with vendors, contractors, and clients to define project scope and resolve technical issues.
Ensures all work is technically accurate and complete before final QA/QC reviews.
Stays current on industry trends, codes, and technologies through self-guided learning and training.
Actively engages with local professional organizations to enhance the firm’s technical reputation and industry presence.
Provides training, mentorship, and developmental support to junior engineers, designers, and EITs.
May contribute to employee performance reviews by offering input on technical and project-related performance.

requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in discipline-specific design and analysis
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
Prior experience in healthcare projects preferred
