Job Details
- Design and develop electronic assemblies, ensuring they meet size, quality, reliability, and integration/test requirements.
- Select appropriate electronic components to fulfill system-level requirements, particularly for infrared camera systems.
- Lead technical discussions with suppliers to clarify specifications and resolve issues.
- Support system validation testing and facilitate the transition to production.
- Develop effective design rules and guidelines for high-density electronic assemblies.
- Mentor junior engineers and interns, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in designing, integrating, and testing electronic assemblies across applications such as automotive safety, security, fire, and industrial inspection.
- Proficiency with circuit design and simulation tools (e.g., Altium, Cadence, PSPICE, LTspice).
- Experience in routing high-density PCB assemblies with consideration for manufacturing and EMI/EMC requirements.
- Familiarity with various physical component and module interfaces (e.g., MIPI CSI-2, USB, GMSL, FPD-Link III, CAN, RS-232).
- Experience in designing FPGA & SoC-based systems from R&D through production.
- Demonstrated contributions to functional and EMC validation testing.
- Familiarity with DFMEA risk management principles and infrared system performance metrics and analysis tools (e.g., IQRM NETD, MTF, Matlab) is a plus.
- Experience managing internal and external development resources to planned budgets and schedules.
