Job Details
We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Senior Electrical Power Engineer to join our vibrant team. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with a focus on power systems. The Senior Electrical Power Engineer will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and testing electrical equipment and systems, ensuring they meet customer requirements and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and test all aspects of electrical components, equipment, and machinery.
2. Apply knowledge of electricity and materials in the design process.
3. Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
4. Prepare and study technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, and topographical maps to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.
5. Investigate and test vendors' and competitors' products.
6. Oversee project production efforts to assure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget.
7. Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
8. Plan layout of electric power generating plants and distribution lines and stations.
9. Assist in developing capital project programs for new equipment and major repairs.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically in power systems.
3. Proficiency in electrical design software such as Revit.
4. Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant codes and standards.
5. Experience in PCB design and development.
6. Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification is a plus.
7. Experience in lighting design, estimating, and switchgear.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
9. Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
10. Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
11. Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
