Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Senior Operations Advisor to join our team in the energy industry. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the energy sector, particularly in power systems and steam engines. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, providing expert advice and guidance to optimize our operations and drive our business forward.

This position will offer monthly travel between RI and CA - a wonderful opportunity for a candidate looking for the next step in their energy career. A fantastic position for an individual comfortable guiding and developing existing staff in a consultative approach, while leaning on your own industry experience within energy + steam turbines.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance on operations within the energy sector, with a focus on power systems, process engineering, and field operations.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Utilize your expertise in engine and power station operations to advise on best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Leverage your knowledge of turbine control systems to optimize our energy production.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of our operations, identifying areas for improvement and recommending action plans.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of operational strategies.
  • Lead and participate in projects related to operations management, providing expert insights and direction.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements, leveraging this knowledge to drive continuous improvement in our operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the energy industry, specifically in operations management.
  • Proven experience with engine operations, process engineering, power systems, power station operations, field operations, and turbine control systems.
  • Strong understanding of steam operations within the energy sector.
  • Excellent strategic thinking abilities, with a proven track record of driving operational improvements.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and guide others.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements, with a commitment to continuous learning and development.
