We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Senior Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a remote, full-time position that offers the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and exciting broadband projects. This role requires a Professional Engineer (PE) license and a strong background in telecommunications, specifically with Fiber Optical Distribution Networks. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of designing and developing multiple fiber Outside Plant (OSP) and demonstrated Rural Utilities Service (RUS) expertise.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Senior Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Leading the design and development of multiple fiber OSP projects.
2. Overseeing all aspects of broadband projects, from initial planning to implementation.
3. Utilizing your RUS expertise to ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations and standards.
4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize network performance and efficiency.
5. Providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.
6. Conducting regular network performance audits and implementing necessary improvements.
7. Staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our company remains at the forefront of the telecommunications industry.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this role, you must have:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree will be considered an advantage.
2. A valid Professional Engineer (PE) license.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, with a particular focus on broadband projects and Fiber Optical Distribution Networks.
4. Demonstrated expertise in RUS standards and regulations.
5. Proven experience in designing and developing multiple fiber OSP.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
7. Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide and mentor junior engineers.
8. The ability to work remotely and effectively collaborate with a dispersed team.
9. A strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
