We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estimator to join our team. This is a remote/hybrid position, offering you the flexibility to work from home 3+ days a week. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in our construction projects, providing accurate cost estimates that drive the financial success of our projects. This role is perfect for a seasoned professional who has a deep understanding of the construction industry and is looking to apply their expertise in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects at various stages from concept to completion.
  • Review architectural plans and engineering specifications to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure they meet project specifications.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to develop and refine project scopes.
  • Provide cost advice and financial reporting to management, helping to shape the financial strategy of our construction projects.
  • Negotiate and liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure the best possible financial outcome for our projects.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest construction materials, methods, and cost trends to ensure our estimates are accurate and competitive.
  • Use your knowledge and expertise to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of our estimating processes and systems.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating.
  • A bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and other relevant computer applications.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present cost estimates in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a remote setting.
