We are on the hunt for a savvy, experienced and passionate Senior Estimator with a focus on Tilt Up and Self Storage in the Construction industry. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment on a variety of challenging projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field, with a deep understanding of construction practices and principles. This is a full-time, position that offers competitive compensation and benefits, as well as the opportunity for professional growth and advancement.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Estimator, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that are crucial to the success of our projects. These include:
1. Preparing detailed cost estimates for Tilt Up and Self Storage construction projects.
2. Reviewing and interpreting project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work.
3. Evaluating and compiling data on factors that may influence costs, such as location, duration, availability of materials, and labor rates.
4. Interacting with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to clarify project details and resolve any discrepancies.
5. Presenting and explaining cost estimates to clients and stakeholders.
6. Assisting in the negotiation of contracts and bids.
7. Monitoring project progress to ensure that costs stay within budget.
8. Keeping up-to-date with the latest construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimator in the Construction industry, with a focus on Tilt Up and Self Storage projects.
2. A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
3. Strong knowledge of construction practices, materials, and regulations.
4. Proficiency in using estimating software and other relevant computer applications.
5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
7. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
8. The ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
