Job Details:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Senior Estimator for our rapidly growing construction company. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team of professionals who are committed to excellence in the construction industry. The Senior Estimator will play a crucial role in the pre-construction and cost estimation process of our projects, including renovations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and a proven track record of delivering successful estimates for renovation projects. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field.

Responsibilities:
1. Prepare detailed cost estimates for renovation projects at various stages from concept to completion.
2. Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other construction documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
3. Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
4. Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other professionals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
5. Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions.
6. Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
7. Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors.
8. Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.
9. Establish and maintain tendering process, and conduct negotiations.
10. Present and explain project budgets to clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
11. Coordinate with the project management team on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years' experience in construction estimating, specifically in renovation projects.
3. Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
4. Advanced understanding of construction law and business practices.
5. Excellent analytical and mathematical abilities.
6. Superior oral and written communication skills.
7. Proficient with computer software programs including MS Office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook), estimating software (such as CostX or ConEst), and project management software (such as Procore or PlanGrid).
8. Ability to work under pressure, organize and prioritize responsibilities.
9. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and disputes.
10. Professional certification (such as CPE or ASPE certification) is preferred.
