Senior Estimator

Our growing construction firm is seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Senior Estimator to join our team. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for driving projects to successful completion. The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing and coordinating complete estimates for our projects, while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and precision. This role requires a deep understanding of industrial and commercial construction, project management, and budgeting. Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates at different stages of the project, from concept to completion.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand the scope of work and deliver accurate estimates.
• Utilize your expertise in AutoCAD and blueprint reading to prepare and review technical construction documents.
• Conduct risk analysis, identify potential issues, and propose strategic solutions.
• Utilize your strong negotiation skills to secure the best prices from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Maintain a comprehensive cost management process to monitor project budgets and control costs.
• Participate in project planning and scheduling, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Regularly review and update estimating procedures and cost data to ensure the most accurate and up-to-date information is used.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, specifically in industrial and commercial sectors.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficient in estimating software and tools, AutoCAD, and blueprint reading.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
• Exceptional skills in project management, budgeting, and cost estimation.
• Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful cost management.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
