Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients on various family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, property division, domestic violence, and other related issues.
  • Handle all aspects of family law cases, from initial consultations through negotiation, mediation, and litigation, as necessary.
  • Conduct legal research, analyze complex legal issues, and develop effective strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, petitions, agreements, and other legal instruments.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and alternative dispute resolution forums, advocating for their rights and interests with professionalism and integrity.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case management and client satisfaction.
  • Stay current with developments in family law legislation, case law, and legal trends, and integrate new knowledge into practice.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to junior attorneys and legal staff as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience practicing family law in California, with a proven track record of handling diverse family law cases.
  • Strong knowledge of California family law statutes, rules, and procedures.
  • Exceptional analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and dedication to client service.
  • Prior experience in mentoring and supervising junior attorneys and legal staff is preferred.
