Job Details

This senior FP&A leadership role is embedded within a private-equity backed logistics/transportation firm—one of North America’s top non-asset intermodal and truckload brokerage providers. With a footprint spanning 200+ agents/offices, this organization offers full-service logistics solutions, operating under a cohesive family of brands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of FP&A analysts, cultivating a high-performance, growth-oriented culture
  • Planning & Reporting: Drive annual budgeting, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial planning
  • Cross‑Functional Analysis: Partner with business units to synthesize financial data, support strategic initiatives, and deliver presentations
  • Performance Reporting: Own monthly reporting on financials vs. budget/forecast—highlighting market dynamics, macroeconomic trends, and division-level analysis
  • M&A Support: Assist with acquisition due diligence, pro-forma modeling, and EBITDA adjustments
  • Special Projects & PMO Support: Lead financial aspects of strategic initiatives and project management office engagements
  • Process Optimization: Enhance FP&A efficiency via automation and best-practice alignment

Requirements
  • 10+ years of FP&A experience, including at least 3 years leading full-cycle budgeting and forecasting
  • Proven leadership capabilities—scaling teams and driving professional development
  • Private equity–backed company experience preferred
  • M&A exposure a strong plus
  • MBA and/or CPA credentials advantageous
  • Hands-on, flexible approach and ability to engage across organizational levels
  • Strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
