Job Details

The Senior Financial Analyst handles a variety of financial planning, product research, sales and client analysis tasks to advance the company’s financial health and growth. Performs financial analysis activities related to the preparation, maintenance and review of financial records, budgets, business data, accounts and reports. Provides accurate, timely and useful financial, product, sales, or client information, metrics and reports. Produces financial statements, budget and forecast reports necessary for the organization to make informed, precise business decisions.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Support leadership through the maintenance and analysis of dashboards and metrics, producing detailed and meaningful financial reports.
  • Assist in preparation of financial models.
  • Ensure monthly financials and reports are met on schedule.
  • Calculate monthly royalty accruals and quarterly royalty payments.
  • Provide early margin impact analysis on new products, services, and projects.
  • Perform Strategic Planning “adhoc” analysis involving COS impacts of new scenarios.
  • Perform financial analysis in accordance with a prescribed accounting system and generally accepted principles of accounting.
  • Assist with budget and forecast processes.
  • Prepare a variety of comprehensive financial statements and reports for management.
  • Analyze financial data, conduct research and prepare reports as requested and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Provide technical expertise and direction regarding financial issues and discrepancies.
  • Analyze budget documentation to ensure that expenditures are properly charged and do not exceed appropriations.
  • Lead the creation and design of product sales reports, including synthesis and recommendations.
  • Produce report and analyses on a variety of product-related topics on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Synthesize sales data and forecasts, augmenting with additional research, to inform product planning.
  • Assist sales leadership with forecasting, coverage and pipeline analytics.
  • Handle special projects related to research, competitive intelligence, and pricing.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and determine what competitors are doing in defined areas.
  • Lead cross-functional teams tasked with evaluating business processes, researching best practices and trends, identifying process improvements, -and implementing change.

Qualifications:

  • Four year degree, advanced degree a plus in Finance, Math or related field
  • Minimum of five years relevant work experience
  • ERP experience needed and with NetSuite and Mavenlink highly preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office environment
  • Experience with product development processes a plus
