We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our thriving construction company. You will be responsible for managing all accounting activities including account reconciliation, general ledger accounting, cost accounting, and handling accounts payable and receivable. Responsibilities:

As a Staff Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Managing and overseeing all facets of our accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting.
2. Performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures.
3. Reviewing and verifying the accuracy of financial statements and accounting records.
4. Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
5. Conducting cost accounting tasks, including the preparation of budgeting and financial forecasting.
6. Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
7. Assisting in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance.
8. Collaborating with the finance team to improve financial processes and procedures.
9. Participating in special projects and assisting with the annual audit process.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in accounting or a related field, preferably in the construction industry.
3. Strong knowledge and experience in account reconciliation, general ledger accounting, cost accounting, and accounts payable & receivable.
4. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel.
5. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make well-judged decisions.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
10. Professional certification such as CPA is a plus.
