Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented SEC Reporting Accountant to join our finance team. This role will play a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with SEC regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and internal controls, as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and file SEC reports, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
Assist with the preparation of earnings releases and related disclosures.
Collaborate with internal teams to gather data for financial statement preparation and disclosures.
Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements by performing thorough reviews and analyses.
Stay current with changes in SEC regulations and accounting standards, providing guidance on their impact.
Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and quarterly reviews.
Support the preparation and review of XBRL tagging for SEC filings.
Assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and controls to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting.
Contribute to ad hoc projects, including mergers and acquisitions, system implementations, and other strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation strongly preferred.
3-5 years of experience in SEC reporting, preferably in a public company or Big Four/public accounting firm.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX compliance.
Proficiency in financial reporting tools and advanced Excel skills; experience with Workiva or similar software is a plus.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and with senior management.
