We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fixed Asset & Capital Projects Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This exciting opportunity will see you play a pivotal role in the management of our fixed assets and capital projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance in our financial reporting. You will be working closely with our finance and operations teams, and will be a key player in driving our financial success.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Fixed Asset & Capital Projects Accountant, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Overseeing and managing the company's fixed assets and capital projects, ensuring accurate and timely accounting and reporting.
2. Reconciling the company's balance sheet and preparing financial statements in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.
3. Performing year-end close procedures and ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
4. Collaborating with the operations team to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of capital projects.
5. Assisting in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures related to fixed assets and capital projects.
6. Providing guidance and support to junior accounting staff, and assisting in their professional development.
7. Working closely with external auditors to ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations.
8. Participating in special projects and performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
1. A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A CPA or equivalent professional accounting designation is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in fixed asset accounting, with a strong emphasis on capital projects.
3. Extensive experience in manufacturing accounting, including a thorough understanding of the unique financial challenges and opportunities in this industry.
4. Proficiency in GL, with a strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliation and year-end close procedures.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members at all levels of the organization.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software.
8. A proactive approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
9. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
