Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of civil litigation, including conducting discovery, drafting pleadings, attending court appearances, arguing motions, and managing mediations and arbitrations.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to develop legal arguments and draft highly complex motions and briefs.
- Provide legal advice to clients and conduct negotiations for legal matters.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and understand their business to serve their legal needs better.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and prepare for trials.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and stay updated on the latest changes in laws and legal practices.
- Participate in business development activities such as client meetings, seminars, and conferences.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation, preferably in Insurance Defense
- Must be a member in good standing of the state bar.
- Proven track record of managing all aspects of civil litigation.
- Excellent legal research and writing skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle a high-volume workload and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
