Job Details

Project Collaboration & Design Execution
Work closely with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders throughout all phases of the project to ensure alignment with the overall vision and expectations. Develop innovative design solutions and deliver comprehensive construction documents on schedule.

Team Leadership & Coordination
Lead multidisciplinary design teams, managing both in-house staff and external consultants to meet project milestones and ensure high-quality outcomes. Maintain consistent and effective communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to support smooth project delivery.

Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance
Perform detailed quality reviews and ensure strict adherence to applicable building codes and regulations, upholding the highest standards of design and documentation.

Project Management
Oversee multiple projects of diverse scope and complexity, including the production and coordination of construction document packages.

Mentorship & Development
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members, supporting their professional development and contributing to overall team growth and performance.


Requirements:
Experienced Professional: You bring a minimum of 10 years of architectural experience, with a strong portfolio that includes public-sector projects across industrial, commercial, and educational markets.

SCA Knowledge: Prior experience with the New York City School Construction Authority (SCA) is highly desirable.

Educational Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture is preferred.

Licensure: Possession of a New York State Architectural License is preferred.

Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Revit and AutoCAD, with experience in BIM and other architectural design tools considered a plus.

Code & Process Expertise: In-depth knowledge of building codes, industry regulations, and all phases of the architectural process, from conceptual design through construction administration.

Leadership & Collaboration: Proven ability to lead and mentor project teams while fostering strong collaboration with clients, consultants, and contractors.

Effective Communicator: Excellent graphic, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate design ideas and project requirements.
