A bit about us:

We have an immediate opportunity with a national complex litigation firm in Midtown Manhattan for an experience senior case manager. Our client is seeking an experienced paralegal to help drive complex cases forward in collaboration with industry leading securities and commercial litigation attorneys.

The incoming case manager will provide high-level litigation support for sophisticated complex litigation and class action matters, including securities fraud, corporate governance, shareholders' rights, and commercial litigation cases. This role offers a unique blend of autonomy, collaboration, and professional growth with a tight-knit team. Core job responsibilities include:

  • Serve as project manager assisting with case strategy and preparation
  • Conduct legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and PACER
  • Ensure accuracy and precision by conducting cite-checking, Bluebooking, and proofreading briefs, complaints, and other documents
  • Manage deadlines and case materials, including exhibits and court filings
  • Support trial preparation through deposition summaries and hearing preparation
  • Contribute to client development initiatives
  • E-file in State and Federal court systems

We are seeking a detailed oriented individual with strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. A proactive approach and team-oriented, service focused mindset will lead to sustained success in this role. We are ideally seeking an experienced case manager with experience handling project management responsibilities in a complex litigation environment, ideally in securities, commercial, or class action litigation. Bluebooking and cite-checking are core responsibilities for this position and a required skillset for all prospective candidates.

This is a full time opportunity with a lucrative compensation structure(overtime accrued after 35 hours), annual bonuses, firm sponsored benefits, generous PTO, and a hybrid schedule. Job Details

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of litigation experience in complex securities or commercial litigation
  • Demonstrated expertise in federal court filing procedures
  • Proficiency in legal research platforms (Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER)
  • Strong Bluebook citation skills and experience with cite-checking legal documents
  • Bachelor's Degree. Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of case management software (i.e. Relativity, Concordance)
