Senior Manager - Statutory Reporting

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Insurance Accountant to join our client's dynamic team. Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all accounting operations related to our Property and Casualty Insurance business.
• Prepare and analyze detailed financial reports, highlighting any trends or issues that need to be addressed.
• Ensure all financial transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Conduct account reconciliation activities to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial data.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes, improve financial performance, and meet business objectives.
• Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation, ensuring our business remains compliant at all times.
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing all necessary information and addressing any queries or issues that arise.
• Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, fostering an environment of learning and growth.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A Master's Degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Insurance Accounting, with a specific focus on Property and Casualty Insurance.
• Strong knowledge of insurance accounting principles and regulations.
• Proficient in account reconciliation and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide effective solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels within the organization.
• Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work under pressure, meeting tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
