Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage the use of CCH tax software to streamline tax processes and improve efficiency.
  • Handle multistate filings, understanding the complexities and nuances of tax obligations in different jurisdictions.
  • Develop and implement effective tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize profits.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to forecast tax obligations and budget accordingly.
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants, providing necessary information and addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring the company's tax strategies and processes are compliant.
  • Provide tax advice and guidance to senior management, helping to inform strategic decisions.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the finance industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Proven experience managing multistate filings.
  • Proficiency in using CCH tax software.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a track record of developing and leading high-performing teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
